I am a Business Management student at NJIT. I grew up in Vernon, NJ which is northern NJ almost into New York state. I started skiing as soon as I could walk and started racing as soon as my parents would let me. Ski racing was my life and is still a huge part of my life. I currently work in a ski shop in Totowa, NJ selling ski equipment and clothing. Since I could only ski 3 months out of the year I started riding horses and soon began to train horses that had been beaten or abused. I only competed horses for a few years because it became time for me to get a real job. Ski racing ended as well because I blew my knee out in upstate NY my sophomore year of high school. I was the number one female ski racer in NJ and 3rd in the east coast. That all went out the window when I crashed. After that I started to coach little ski racers and worked at a gym/spa where I ran the activities for corporate picnics. Through high school I took a number of engineering and architecture classes and decided I wanted to be an architect. By the time I got to college that had all changed I majored in Mechanical Engineering. After 2 years of that I decided engineering wasn't for me. I'm still wondering if my switch to management was a mistake. So that's where I am now just plugging away at graduating trying to figure out what I want to do with my life.
